An abundance of bucks makes these hunts fun and exciting. Hunting with a professional guide who recognizes the difference that inch or two in height or mass makes when judgging a trophy antelope buck is essential. These hunts are great for groups or family hunts.
We offer rifle, muzzleloader, and archery hunts. Arizona is all draw only with limited tags. New Mexico has a draw also, but landowner tags can be bought if not successful in the draw. Many choose just to book private land hunts due to the difficulty of drawing tags.
Our Arizona archery elk hunts are extremely action packed. High bull-to-cow ratios make these hunts highly successful. By mid September the rut is in full swing and the timber is alive with the sound of the bull elk.
We offer six-day hunts with option of booking the entire hunt. Arizona elk tags can be extremely hard to draw. Consistency in applying and accumulating bonus points is very important, but we promise it is well worth the wait. We can accompany you in applying for the draw. Calling us will make it easier in helping you decide your options for the future.

These hunts take place on the world famous Kaibab Plateau. Archery, muzzleloader, and rifle hunts are all available on a draw-only basis. These units have produced some great trophies for our clients.
A trophy mule deer is one of the most sought after trophies in North America. Our guides are all fanatic mule deer hunters, and we look forward to the challenges that these hunts offer. Many of our clients apply for New Mexico as well as Arizona hunts. When dealing with public land hunts, we suggest putting in for the draw every year in both states. Often, it takes more than just one hunt if a B&C deer is your goal.
The quality of bucks taken in the Kaibab for the average hunter typically range from 160-170, but hard work and determination usually pay off. We have taken some of our biggest deer on these hunts. Bucks measuring 190-200 inches are possible, but they will not come without hunting hard!
Our Arizona rifle hunts are some of our most successful hunts. We have had a 95% success rate for the past five years on this hunt. We specialize in units 1 and 27. The rut is long passed, and the bulls have moved into their winter country and are in bachelor groups. Typically we see many bulls during these hunts. Our experienced guides know the country and can get you within rifle range of a quality bull. All of these hunts are draw only, so planning for the future is very important. HHO can help you with the application process and make sure you get on track with this high-success hunt. Landowner tags are available in New Mexico if you are not successful in the draw.
This is the GrandDaddy of them all! Arizona alternates between rifle and muzzleloader from year to year within the unit. These hunts are scheduled during the rut with a limited amount of tags. HHO will hunt any unit in Arizona for this hunt. Hiring an outfitter will greatly increase your odds in taking a trophy bull. Our guides are experienced in scoring a trophy bull in the field to make sure this tag is used to its potential.
Due to the limited amount of tags, we typically only book one or two clients during this week allowing the focus to soley be on this one-of-a-kind hunt.
The archery elk hunt is one of our favorites. The bulls are entering the rut and gathering cows, making the mountains and valleys come alive with the sounds of bugling bulls. The weather here in September is typically beautiful allowing many great opportunities on world class bulls. These hunts are six-day hunts, guided one on one with a qualified professional guide.
No matter your ability or skill level, HHO guides have extensive bow hunting experience and will advise you every step of the way to meet the specific needs of the modern archery hunter.
New Mexico has three hunts from Sept 1st-Sept 24th (ten-day, eight-day, and six-day). We offer any six days in these dates, and additional days can be purchased ahead of time. HHO can assist you in applying for the draw. If not successful in the draw, landowner tags are available. The draw deadline is in the first week of April.
In late November the bulls have left the cows and have moved into their winter grounds. We typically see only bulls on these hunts. Many of them are in bachelor groups of two or more bulls. This makes for a good opportunity to trophy hunt. Modern muzzleloaders have drastically changed the success of this hunt due to the technology and range of these muzzleloaders.
Being in good shape on these late hunts will greatly increase your odds. The bulls are in rough country and your physical condition is a huge deciding factor in the outcome of your hunt.
Today’s modern muzzleloaders have dramatically changed the success of these hunts. Primitive “weapons- only areas” have given hunters a great opportunity at taking a trophy class animal. These areas are never open to rifle hunting, which give you better odds of finding and harvesting a trophy bull elk.
Our first muzzleloader hunt takes place in mid October at the tail end of the rut. Typically the bulls are still with cows, but are starting to break away. The unit we love to hunt is wide open country making it possible to glass a lot of elk day to day. We have had 100% success on this hunt for the past five years.

Unit 2B offers three different five-day hunts. The draw odds are higher when applying with an outfitter. These hunts are solid mule deer hunts. Bucks measuring 160-170 are most common; however, we have taken many 180-190 class deer on these hunts as well. Holding out is essential if a true trophy class buck is your goal.
